Winter in Spain is a popular place to be, so much to do and so much to see.

Currently Spain is enjoying an Indian summer, the temperatures are still around the 30ºc mark and the beach and pool area are still the best places to enjoy this fine weather.

As we slide in to October we start to look at the many activities that can be enjoyed during a Spanish winter.

We are only 2 months away from the start of the skiing season and we have already seen some early snow.

Sierra Nevada winter resort

In the south of Spain it is possible to be eating your breakfast in the warm sunshine among palm trees and scented flowers whilst looking out over the sea. Then 2 hours later you can be skiing down the slopes of Sierra Navada’s, which provides some of the best skiing in Spain.

The other big winter activity in Spain is Golf…

Spain has some of the best golf courses in Europe throughout the Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca regions.

So for all those keen golfers out there you are literally spoilt for choice with Pro and amateur courses available for all levels and handicaps.

This is the time of the year where the local golf clubs are putting together their winter Tournaments, so look at the local schedules if you feel like competing.

Winter in Spain is the best time to get out and about, during the hot summers it is not always possible to go walking in the countryside. Come the winter it is a good time to exercise and see the countryside at the same time.

Spain is back to front compared to other countries during the winter time everything grows, you see green grass everywhere, stunning colours in the flora and the oranges ripen, the olives are picked, and it is the time of harvest.

Winter is also a time to socialise to sit at the cafes and enjoy the winter sun. Also the best time of the year to enjoy churros con chocolate although they can be enjoyed all year-round, there is nothing quite like sitting down to enjoy deep friend dough dipped into thick rich chocolate to warm you up from the inside during the winter.

Winter in Spain is just as exciting as summer, with different activities and lots of colour you can't go wrong investing in property in this wonderful country.
